Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Brentham Media SRL ("we", "our") handles information in connection with the website brentham.eu ("the Site"). The Site is operated from Romania and is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applicable in EU member states.
1. Data we collect
The Site does not use analytics trackers, advertising networks, or third-party tracking pixels. The only data processed is:
- Server logs: Standard web server logs record IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs are stored for a maximum of 14 days and used only for operational purposes (detecting errors, preventing abuse).
- Contact form submissions: If you use the contact form on the About page, your name, phone number, email address, and message text are sent to contact@brentham.eu. This data is not stored in a database; it exists only in the email system.
- Cookie consent preference: A single key (brentham_cookie_consent) is stored in your browser's localStorage to record your response to the cookie banner. This key contains only the string "accept" or "reject" — no personal data.
2. Cookies
The Site uses one first-party localStorage item (brentham_cookie_consent) as described above. No third-party cookies are set. No persistent identifiers are stored beyond the consent preference. If you click "Reject" on the cookie banner, no additional data is stored beyond that rejection record.
3. Legal basis for processing
Server log processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for the operational security of the Site. Contact form data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) given by submitting the form.
4. Data retention
Server logs: 14 days. Contact form emails: retained in the email system for up to 12 months, then deleted. Consent preference: stored in your browser until you clear site data.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP) at www.dataprotection.ro.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@brentham.eu.
6. External links
Articles on the Site contain links to external websites (government agencies, regulatory bodies). We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites and are not responsible for them.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the Site's technical setup or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
